How to play
Three steps
- 1Each row and column has numbers. They give the lengths of the filled groups in that line, in order, with at least one empty cell between groups.
- 2Tap or drag to fill the cells you are sure about. Switch to the Mark tool to put an X on cells you know are empty.
- 3Start with the biggest clues, where groups overlap the most. Keep going line by line until the picture is complete.
Nonograms go by many names: picross, griddlers, hanjie, paint by numbers and pic-a-pix. They were invented in Japan and have appeared in newspapers, puzzle books and video games for decades.
